Trimming the trees to protect Court 1's playing surface from algal build-up

Essential tree lopping took place in early March to allow more light and air movement on Court 1. This will greatly reduce the risk of algae building up and so protect the quality of the playing surface.

We have 4 all weather courts, which were built in 2005, all with floodlighting, a practice wall and curtain netting between courts.

A smart wooden hut serves as our clubhouse and the Conservatory Bar is within 25 yards. We share this with other sports clubs – drinks, food and changing and toilet facilities are available. We currently have a small project team working on plans to improve our club hut facilities and we hope to provide toilets and tea/coffee making facilities in the near future.

The club has a busy fixture list, plenty of opportunities for friendly tennis, active coaching programs and a number of enjoyable social events which help with fund-raising.

Floodlights enable play throughout the year

Floodlight tokens cost £4 per hour of play and can be purchased in The Conservatory. Floodlit play ends at 10.00pm and the lights are programmed to go off at this time.
